Effective Date: 2nd November, 2024
CMEIS Ltd is committed to delivering professional, results-driven cybersecurity, digital forensics, account recovery, cryptocurrency recovery, and private investigation services to every client we serve. We take pride in the quality of our work and the expertise of our certified professional team. This Refund Policy sets out clearly and transparently the terms under which refunds are considered, the process for requesting a refund, and the conditions that apply to each service category.
Please read this policy carefully before engaging CMEIS Ltd for any service. By commissioning a service from CMEIS Ltd, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out in this Refund Policy. If you have any questions before engaging our services, please contact us directly at https://www.cmeis.com/ before making any payment.
Our Service Commitment
CMEIS Ltd operates on a service completion and client verification model. This means that every engagement is carried through to completion by our certified professional team before any refund consideration applies. We do not offer refunds on the basis of a client changing their mind after work has commenced, a client withdrawing from an engagement mid-process, or dissatisfaction expressed without a verified basis in service failure on the part of CMEIS Ltd.
Our commitment is to deliver the agreed scope of work to the professional standard our credentials and reputation represent. In return, our clients commit to engaging with the process in good faith, providing accurate information at the outset of the engagement, and allowing CMEIS Ltd to complete the agreed work before raising any query about the outcome.
No Refund Until Work Is Completed and Verified by the Client
CMEIS Ltd does not process or consider any refund request until the agreed scope of work has been fully completed and the outcome has been presented to the client for review and verification. Work is considered complete when CMEIS Ltd has delivered the agreed deliverable, whether that is a penetration testing report, a forensics evidence package, a recovered account, a cryptocurrency tracing report, a recovered data set, or any other service output specified at the outset of the engagement.
Client verification means that the client has reviewed the completed deliverable and confirmed in writing whether the agreed scope of work has been fulfilled. No refund request will be accepted or processed before this verification step has taken place. This policy exists to protect the integrity of the professional engagement process and to ensure that all refund decisions are based on verified facts rather than preliminary impressions or incomplete information.
If you believe that the work delivered by CMEIS Ltd does not meet the scope agreed at the outset of your engagement, you must raise this concern in writing within the timeframe specified below. CMEIS Ltd will review your submission promptly and respond with a clear determination.
Refund Eligibility Timeframes
Refund requests must be submitted within the following timeframes depending on the service engaged. These timeframes begin from the point at which the completed work is delivered to the client for verification.
For account recovery services including Instagram account recovery, Facebook account recovery, Snapchat account recovery, Gmail account recovery, Yahoo account recovery, Outlook account recovery, Hotmail account recovery, Microsoft account recovery, Discord account recovery, Roblox account recovery, and Ubisoft account recovery, refund requests must be submitted within 12 hours of delivery of the completed work.
For penetration testing, red teaming, web application security testing, secure code review, cloud security assessment, and infrastructure testing services, refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery of the completed report and findings documentation.
For digital forensics services including iPhone forensics, Android forensics, WhatsApp forensics, mobile device data recovery, and corporate digital forensics investigations, refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery of the completed forensics report or data recovery package.
For cryptocurrency recovery and bitcoin recovery services including blockchain tracing, wallet recovery support, and crypto scam recovery documentation, refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery of the completed tracing report or recovery outcome summary.
For private investigation services including cheating spouse investigation, catch a cheater investigation, and open-source intelligence investigations, refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery of the completed investigation report.
For incident response and threat hunting services, refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery of the completed incident report and remediation guidance.
Refund requests submitted outside the applicable timeframe will not be considered regardless of the circumstances. CMEIS Ltd strongly encourages all clients to review completed work promptly upon delivery and to raise any concerns immediately within the applicable window.
Grounds for a Refund
A refund will be considered by CMEIS Ltd only where the client can demonstrate, with specific reference to the agreed scope of work, that CMEIS Ltd has failed to deliver the service as agreed. Grounds for a refund include the following:
- The agreed deliverable was not provided within the timeframe confirmed at the outset of the engagement and no revised timeline was communicated or agreed by the client.
- The deliverable provided materially fails to address the scope of work confirmed in writing at the start of the engagement.
- The service outcome is demonstrably and specifically deficient in a way that constitutes a failure of professional duty on the part of CMEIS Ltd, as determined by our internal review process.
The following do not constitute grounds for a refund under this policy:
- A client changing their mind about requiring the service after work has commenced.
- A client withdrawing from the engagement before work is completed.
- Dissatisfaction with an outcome that falls outside the scope of what CMEIS Ltd confirmed was achievable at the outset of the engagement.
- An outcome that was assessed as uncertain or probabilistic at the start of the engagement and did not result in the desired outcome for reasons outside CMEIS Ltd’s control, including but not limited to the technical limitations of the target system, platform-side restrictions, blockchain obfuscation, or inaccessible encrypted data.
- A refund request submitted outside the applicable timeframe for the relevant service.
- A refund request that is not supported by specific written evidence of service failure referenced against the agreed scope.
CMEIS Ltd is transparent about realistic outcomes at the outset of every engagement. Where the outcome of a service is uncertain or probabilistic in nature — such as in cryptocurrency recovery, inaccessible device forensics, or platform-dependent account recovery — this is communicated clearly before any payment is made. Clients who proceed following such a disclosure accept that an unsuccessful outcome does not in itself constitute grounds for a refund where CMEIS Ltd has fulfilled the agreed professional process.
How to Submit a Refund Request
To submit a refund request, contact CMEIS Ltd in writing within the applicable timeframe for your service. Your submission must include the following:
- Your full name and contact details as provided at the start of your engagement.
- The service engaged and the date on which the completed work was delivered to you.
- A clear and specific description of the grounds on which you are requesting a refund, with direct reference to the agreed scope of work.
- Any supporting evidence you wish to provide in support of your request.
CMEIS Ltd will acknowledge receipt of your refund request promptly and will provide a written determination following our internal review. We aim to provide a determination on all refund requests within a reasonable timeframe and will communicate any outcome to you clearly and directly.
Approved Refunds
Where CMEIS Ltd determines that a refund request is valid and approved under the terms of this policy, the refund will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of engagement. Processing times may vary depending on the payment method and the policies of any relevant payment processor or financial institution. CMEIS Ltd will confirm the expected processing timeline at the time of approval.
Partial Refunds
In circumstances where CMEIS Ltd has completed part of an agreed scope of work and a specific element of the remaining scope cannot be fulfilled, CMEIS Ltd reserves the right to offer a partial refund proportionate to the unfulfilled portion of the engagement. The determination of any partial refund amount will be made by CMEIS Ltd in good faith and communicated clearly to the client in writing.
Disputes
CMEIS Ltd is committed to resolving all client concerns professionally, fairly, and transparently. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your refund request, please contact us directly to discuss your concern. We will always seek to reach a fair resolution that reflects the terms of the engagement and the professional standards to which CMEIS Ltd holds itself accountable.
Changes to This Refund Policy
CMEIS Ltd reserves the right to update or amend this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. The version of this policy in effect at the time your engagement commences is the version that governs your engagement. We encourage you to review this policy before commissioning any service.
